Rafblog

This is a blogger about myself, Rafael Verduzco, and my life in Pasadena, CA (very near to Los Angeles). This blog is about my personal experiences, but I also hope to shed some light on what it's like to live in Los Angeles and on the American lifestyle in general. Enjoy, and feel free to post comments!

A baseball game.

I went to my first baseball game in months yesterday. It was a Dodgers-Cardinals contest in a potential playoff preview. The stadium was completely sold out, the crowd was as loud and rowdy as I've ever seen it at Dodgers stadium, and the game was the quirkiest I've seen in a long time. We got to see 10 pitchers, three lead changes, and questionable calls by the umps and managers. It was one of the best baseball games I've been to, mostly because the crowd was so into it - we got peanuts thrown at us when Edmonds hit a homerun, a fight broke out nearby us between Cards fans and Dodgers fans, and a Dodgers fan sitting right behind Jeff was screaming right into his ear the entire game. It did take us literally two hours to get home (even though the Stadium is less than 20 miles from our place) but it was definitely worth it.
