My life in brief

Mountains and palm trees can be seen from anywhere in Los Angeles.
I came to Pasadena three years ago to study at the California Institute of Technology (also known as Caltech) from my hometown in Sugar Land (near Houston) where I've spent about 15 years of my life. I live a short walk from campus, spend most of my weekdays working in a laboratory, and on weekends I like to venture out and explore a different part of the city. I recently spent almost three months in Korea, and ever since the trip have developed a strong urge to travel outside of the USA. I am struggling to learn Korean and to keep up my Spanish (which I picked up from my Mexican-born parents). A significant amount of my time is spent practicing and playing rugby with the Caltech team, but my favorite sport to play is basketball. Most of my friends in and around Los Angeles are other Caltech students, but I also have many contacts in Houston, Mexico, and all over Korea. Beer is my good friend as is food.

My big fat face.
